This is the devotion book I have been hoping to find for my children!! It's doctrinally sound and filled with a wide variety of topics that appeal to all of them. This book captures their attention, makes them laugh, gets them thinking, speaks to their hearts, and reminds them DAILY how much Jesus loves them and cares about them. It's written for children, but I love that it applies to my life as well. I will be buying this for my friends and family this year!
A devotional that kids will want to read! It's fun and interesting and shares God's word in a way that kids will find fun and interesting. I read through the first three months during a plane ride and enjoyed each one. I love that there are devotionals written by kids mingled in with Linda's! Kids sharing with kids is a great idea! Each day is not too long to read and will keep kids involved! The font is cute and fun!!! I am so excited to share this with my kids and my friends with kids!
We read a devotion each morning on the car ride to school and try ot work in dinner devotions using a variety of different devotion material. "Dig In" is one of the most enjoyable ones - for everyone. It is written in a simple style and is easy to understand...even for the littlest ones. The variety of "Chomp on This!", prayers, etc. at the end of each devotion is engaging. Most importantly, it has the correct balance of the bad news about our sin and struggles...and good news about how Jesus loves each of the world's individuals. Thank you for this great resource!
My family has been reading from "Dig In!" for our nightly devotions, and it carries a wonderful message for all of us. We have a 13 and an 11 year old, and it has fun and thoughtful life lessons from which we all can draw encouragement. The best parts of each devotion are the large sections of Scripture that are integrated with each lesson. Every devotion takes those verses and makes them real and fun and applies them to situations in our own lives. We've all enjoyed it and look forward to "the next one" each time we read from it.
Linda Buxa's "Dig In!" brings to family tables a devotional that can be easily read before or after the family meal. Why not during dessert? This book encourages families to not only read God's word but for it to be discussed and lived! What a great habit to encourage in our children before their teen years!

Sometimes as parents we forget what life and it's concerns are like from the perspective of our children. Linda brings that perspective back to the parents to relate. She has a kid's heart! Aren't children the greatest in our Father's kingdom? (Matthew 181-5) Let's feed their appetites not only physically but spiritually too! Thank you Linda!
Written for youngster, but all ages will gain from the messages.
The devotions are a nice length and have great substance. My boys (8 and 10) really enjoy this book.
